Major General Ashley Truluck CB CBE BA

Former soldier and past chairman of the Society for Army Historical Research

Ashley served with distinction with the Gurkhas, Signals, Army Aviation on the General Staff. A history graduate, he has extensive experience of army training having attended the Army Staff Course, the Higher Command & Staff Course and Royal College of Defence Studies. He was also on the Directing Staff at Staff College and Commandant of the Royal School of Signals. He has a life-long fascination for military history; is currently Chairman of the Society of Army Historical Research; and has led more battlefield tours and studies than he can remember.
